This is the place that everyone recommends you come to in the old town of Zurich for 'traditional Swiss food'. The fist thing you notice when you walk in is the smell of cheese! There's a great atmosphere although it is full of tourists. The menu consists mainly of different fondue dishes - you can have melted cheese with mushrooms, melted cheese with ham, melted cheese with pear, melted cheese with port - who would have thought a good old emmental could be so versatile? It's fun and sociable to share a fondue pot but you do come out of there feeling like you've consumed a hell of a lot of cheese. It's nice for novelty value but afterwards you might feel the need to eat only salad for the rest of the week!
